I don’t know if you’re like me, but I like to have little reminders of God’s faithfulness to keep me thinking on Him. On my Chromebook, I have two stickers that I placed there shortly after I got it. The first says simply, “BELIEVE.”

How many different ways did Jesus use this word? Believe ye that I am able to do this? [Mt 9:28] The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. [Mk 1:15] Be not afraid, only believe. [Mk 5:36] If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. [Mk 9:23] And these signs shall follow them that believe; In My name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; [Mk 16:17] Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for awhile believe, and in time of temptation fall away. [Lk 8:12,13] There are so many examples of Jesus using the word “BELIEVE,” but the simplicity is found in John 9:38 when Jesus spoke with a the man who was blind since birth. He said simply, “Lord, I believe.” And he worshipped Him.
I firmly believe what the Word of God says in Galatians 5:25, “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. ” I try to do what the Word says, that daily, I die to self. These little reminders to “BELIEVE” located just below the screen– the place where we see the action of what we’re doing take place wasn’t a coincidence. It was purposefully chosen for its location– not by me, but by the Lord. Every time I am writing at the computer, this simple “BELIEVE” with its golden letters is a reminder that it is a verb– a word of action and in believing in what God can do, there is great reward. In all that I do, in all that I say, in all that I think unto the glory of the Lord, “BELIEVE.” “Faithful is He that calleth you, who also will do it.” [1 Thessalonians 5:24]
The second sticker on my Chromebook is purposefully near the SHIFT CTRL button. I must shift control from relying on myself, to relying on God. It says, “YOU ARE THE GOD THAT WORKS WONDERS.”

HE is the God that works wonders, not me. There are days I couldn’t find my way out of a wet paper bag, but HE is an amazing God who does incredible things in incredible ways! It comes from Psalm 77 where Asaph was facing some trouble. He needed to remember the mighty things God had done in the past to give his faith a pep rally. Some days we have to do that. It’s a blessing to read all of the Lord’s wonderful and mighty acts in the Bible, but it’s another to reflect on what God has done for YOU. I don’t know where I’d be without the love of Jesus Christ. I don’t know where I’d be without His mercy and grace! I don’t know where I’d be without His compassion on me, but I know I never want to forget where He’s brought me from and what He saved me me out of.
I like how Psalm 77:11-14 reads in the NIV. “I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember YOUR miracles of long ago. 12 I will consider all YOUR works and meditate on all YOUR mighty deeds.” 13 YOUR ways, God, are holy. What god is as great as our God? 14 YOU are the God who performs miracles; YOU display YOUR power among the peoples.”
When I put these two stickers, interestingly spaced between the divide of my keyboard, it is a reminder to keep point A to get to point B: “If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes,” and in so doing, while HIS hands are working in a place I’m not able to see, there will come a time to see His mighty acts played out in my life and over the things I am praying for, at which time, “And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord. ” [Luke 1:45] Never forget, HE IS WORKING!
